Telma Bus Driveline Brakes

Telma Bus Drivline Brakes are a new driveline brake (also known as a driveline retarder) which provides supplemental braking for your truck, bus, or RV. The Telma Driveline Retarder is a liquid-cooled disc braking system, mounted in the driveline at the rear of the transmission.

A major advantage to the Telma Driveline Brake lies in the ease of installation. Because it installs directly against the rear of the transmission, little-to-no additional brackets or supports are needed to mount the system, and, in many cases, no driveshaft modifications are necessary.

The Telma Bus Driveline Retarder is also very easy to operate and service, and is built with very solid and compact design elements to work hard and dependably and keep initial and replacement parts costs low.

Additional advantages lie in the fact that the Telma Retarder utilizes your engine's coolant to cool its internal brake disc and pads while you decelerate, helping to maintain a more continuous engine temperature, especially during city stop and go traffic.
