KLAM Magnetic Retarder

The KLAM Magnetic Retarder system utilizes an electromagnetic rotor which, when activated, creates resistance against the motion of the drive shaft, in turn slowing the vehicle without the use of the standard service brakes. The major advantage to the KLAM magnetic driveline retarder for sale at Davey Coach lies in the fact that, because magnetic resistance is being utilized to create this counter-force, no friction is created, which means that wear and tear normally associated with moving mechanical parts and systems can be avoided.

KLAM magnetic retarders also provide features like brake cruise, which is a "down-hill cruise control" that assists in automatically controlling a vehicle's speed during long decent, low speed switch off, and temperature control and function control dash lights.
