We have been a non-profit corporation for over six years with a mission to serve the needs of "Developmentally Disabled" teenagers and adults.  We opened a new "Career Center" on June 1, 2011 where we will have 60 adults coming each day to learn relevant job skills in a creative and lively environment. As part of our contract with the State, we are required to transport these clients to and from home each day. We needed busses to do this. In the current economic climate, we were having difficulty placing the financing for the transportation vehicles we needed for this work-shop. I explained all this to Josh Davey of Davey Coach. He immediately went to work on providing us with the solutions that we needed. He not only helped us pick the right size coach with the correct seating pattern and equipment, he also helped us place the financing we needed for our initial order. Josh also had the "graphics" department work tirelessly to design and re-design our logo's that came out so perfectly it's like having a rolling billboard all over town each day. Lightning Hybrids

Lightning Hybrids is an innovative automotive research and manufacturing company, and very close neighbor to Davey Coach, just up I-25 in Loveland, Colorado.

The Lightning Hybrids conversion is an especially unique and versatile system because it offers not only a hybrid acceleration energy source, but also a driveline braking benefit.

Lightning Hybrids' hydraulic hybrid retrofit applies a hydraulic system to the driveline of a vehicle to regenerate braking energy. Hydraulic pumps and a lightweight accumulator store braking energy, and upon acceleration, the pumps become motors that use the stored energy in the accumulator to provide torque to power the wheels.

The fuel efficiency gains are achieved by regenerating the braking energy that is normally lost, and using this energy instead of (and in addition to, if needed) the internal combustion engine for acceleration.

The braking gains are achieved by providing resistance to the drive shaft during the braking process to supplement the standard service brakes, which in turn increases brake life and efficiency during operation.
